"Me and my partner adopted Sylvia from here (formerly known as Miss Beth) and the staff I spoke to were so helpful and clearly care a lot about cats as they make sure you can look after them properly and can give them a good home. They kept in contact early on as well to male sure she was getting on well, which shows they genuinely care about their cats. Will be forever grateful!"

"This is Jessie, when I was with my ex we fell in love with her and got her immediately. She became the most loving and appreciative animal I've ever met. This was her in the original photo and the rest are some of her in her new home. I adored her and I'm glad she's with my ex partner because she's got a home for life and full of love. I urge people to not to look for the 'cutest' cat. Remember these animals just want love and safety, like us"

"We adopted our lovely cat Paris in April 2005. She had been found in a box in a shop doorway. She has lived happily since with another rescue cat Pickle until Nov last year when she sadly passed aged 18yrs. Paris is now 19yrs old and although some health issues. She is still living her best life."

"Boote is the oldest cat rescue in Liverpool. It's a lovely old house filled with cats, some of which roam the place like pets and some of which skirt the grounds when hungry and in need of shelter. At Boote, the cats come first. If you are not the perfect owner who will guarantee that cat a home of love and care for the remainder of its life then you are not the right adopter. The cats have had tough enough lives when they come into Boote. For Boote, it's not about making their lives a bit better, it's about making their lives better forever with the perfect place that's right for each individual cat. This may mean you're not quite right for the cat. Don't take offence, some of the cats have behavioural issues or long term health issues. It is not a reflection on you and your family. It's about the cat.At Boote, the cats come first."
