"I have just completed the five-day course at the Raptor Foundation, and if anyone is thinking of getting into falconry, I would strongly suggest that this course is the bare minimum you should undertake. The centre is extremely well equipped for training, and I received plenty of hands-on experience, which is incredibly important when considering getting your first bird. The practical knowledge gained over the five days was invaluable. I cannot thank the staff enough for making it such an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Spending time at the centre also gives you a real insight into just how challenging it is to run a charity like this, and how much dedication and effort goes into the care of both their adopted and wild raptors. If anyone has negative thoughts or comments about the centre, I would encourage them to try to understand the reasons behind things before making any judgement. "Had a lovely afternoon. Sat & watched a selection of bird flying displays. These are performed several times a day. Very knowledgeable & friendly staff. Spent time walking around viewing so many different birds. Lovely coffee & cake in the cafe. Would recommend."
