Real Experiences
"This was my first visit here, and I have to say, it's an incredible place! The staff are so welcomingākind, friendly, and truly caringāand they are very experienced with the animals. The facility is spotless and well-maintained because the staff work really hard. I saw that the dogs are very happy and relaxed, enjoying plenty of space to exercise and comfortable sofas in their sleeping areas (they're quite spoiled, lol). The cat sanctuary is also very clean and well looked after. All the cats are beautiful and seem content. These animals are truly lovely and could make wonderful pets for the right home. If you're thinking about adopting a pet, this is definitely a place worth visiting."
a month ago"Just want to say a big thank you to all the staff at animal aid. Myself and my family decided to adopt a dog and had never done it before the set up is very professional and straight forward and the staff are great they talked us through every step made us feel welcome and now we are proud to own a young french bulldog who has fitted in brilliant and is part of our family . I would recommend all at animal aid very highly and anyone that is thinking of adopting to get in touch with the staff and to feel what we as a family feel now. Thank you"
3 months ago"We were delighted to be chosen to adopt Delilah - a 6-year old Jack Russell. She made herself at home very quickly and is making sure we get thousands of steps a day in! Alex and the staff were absolutely brilliant at matching us up with Delilah and made the whole adoption very smooth - their love for their āresidentsā is clear to see and their help and advice to us was fantastic. They do an amazing job."

From the moment we contacted LAA, we were overwhelmed by the warmth and kindness of the staff. The adoption process was incredibly thorough. Even though we have been dog owners for a continuous long time, the staff took the time to understand our lifestyle and preferences, ensuring that Frodo would be the perfect fit for our lifestyle and home. They were patient and answered all our questions, making the experience stress-free and enjoyable. Even going the extra mile to show us how he reacted to other dogs (even if it was a toy dog in the carpark!).The dogs at LAA are clearly well loved and cared for. Frodo was delivered to our home in Stamford happy, healthy, and ready to love. I am so grateful to the staff at LAA for their dedication to animal welfare and for helping me find our new best friend. I highly recommend LAA to anyone looking to adopt a dog.UPDATE: Itās hard to believe a year and a quarter has passed with Frodo as the heart of our family. His adventurous spirit has taken us on so many journeys, and heās truly been the perfect companion, always ready for long walks and joyful moments. Thanks to LAA, Frodo was matched beautifully with our familyās lifestyle and needs. We truly cherish every moment weāve shared with him! It is also wonderful to share that close friends of ours also adopted a dog from LAA, and their experience has mirrored ours beautifully. Theyāve welcomed their new furry friend, Obie, into their home, and itās been heartwarming to see the bond theyāve formed. Just like Frodo, Obei has brought so much joy and companionship into their lives & with Frodo, enriching their family dynamic. Itās amazing how these furry companions can create such happiness and fulfilment for everyone involved!"

We have lovely memories of visiting the centre all those years ago to meet our new friend and the staff were great because he never forgot the training he must have received while in their care. "Sam" gave us over 12 years of joy. Thank you LAA"
