Real Experiences
"Letās be clear: my experience is real, and my cat was taken and re homed without consent. Despite having updated means of contact. A recent review here attempts to dismiss it as ābaselessā and āillogical.ā That review was written by the very volunteer who unlawfully removed my cat. Tahira Khan, an unvetted volunteer, collected my husbandās contact number under the guise of verifying my wishes, then drove straight to Bristol. The Moggery subsequently rehomed Luna in less than a week, before their own procedure of waiting a week to hear from the owner. The first direct contact from me was five days after Luna was taken ā too late, because she was already rehomed. Luna is microchipped and registered in my name, yet the organisation ignored me and relied entirely on the judgment of an unvetted volunteer, dismissing rightful ownership. It is striking that while the Moggery applies stringent criteria to adopters, these standards do not appear to extend to their own volunteers or even their own principles and procedures.Any attempt to dismiss this experience only exposes the organisationās disregard for rightful owners and lawful reuniting practices. Compassion for animals cannot override legal responsibility toward the people who love them.I stand by every word of my review and will be pursuing this matter through legal channels, with full documentation confirming my ownership. Returning Luna promptly would be the responsible course, showing the organisation respects both the law and the rightful owner, rather than hiding behind the actions of an unvetted volunteer. Why canāt we give 0 stars. If I could give less than 0 I would. Disgusted doesnāt come close to describing the torment this organisation has caused. Because they function outside of the law. One of their volunteers (better to call her a thief) responded to a fb post about a cat that kept coming to one of my neighbours gardens. Turns out it was our beautiful Luna that went missing 2 years ago. I cried tears of joy on hearing it and my kids nearly passed out from happiness. The scanned the chip, turned up to my address whilst I was away and took the word of whoever opened the door if we wanted Luna re homed. They confirmed they werenāt the owner but that they could contact the owner and ask. They took his number but never called. Once we followed the thread back to The Moggery we were told they had re homed our cat. Phone put down. Refusing to take my calls. Not responding to email. The law is against their side and they are supposed to be a registered charity! Revolting behaviour of the staff on the phone. I wouldnāt trust them with an ant let alone a cat. Cats needing homes everywhere and instead theyāre re homing cats with owners who want them and are contactable. But they didnāt try. Luna is a special cat no doubt they saw this and thought thatāll make a happy costumer. Someoneās good review here or happiness is the cause of our grief and heartbreak. We are fighting to get Luna back and we will be as this is as good as daylight robbery!!!!"

I would certainly give her and all her volunteers a 10 star rating as the work they do is amazing caring for and rehoming cats and kittens. I can't thank them all enough for the work that they do."

Our cat, Lily, was taken to this shelter through a series of unfortunate event and misunderstanding; She came to us as a pregnant stray, we were caring for and planning to neuter and microchip her once her kittens had been adopted but was taken by a neighbour and handed to this shelter (we spoke and she said she would have never handed Lily in had she known the situation). We called immediately and tried to explain the situation but were met with such rudeness. The receptionist (and I assume owner) told us to get over it and adopt a different black cat then hung up. Very strange behaviour even though we offered to go through all their policies and pay any fees. It was heartbreaking to see our cat get posted on their Facebook and be adopted by someone else under the name Celia. Feel helpless and heartbroken from the treatment of the people here. Shes a sweetheart and we were attached to her sweet personality and daily routines and imagined having her with us her whole life. Now we are having to grieve our cat that is still alive and have no idea where she is, absolutely horrible. This is posted via a business account so you can contact through it if you have any information, thanks"
a year ago"I have been to many rescue/rehoming centres, but this is the best place ever. Christina is very caring and compassionate. She has paid for a lot of neutering and other health conditions of cats I rescue from London. One of the negative review made my someone regarding a cat, that has been rehomed now via this place, is absolutely baseless. Their cat was missing for two years and when the cat was found after two years, they want to claim it back. The comments made are illogical. Rest assured, Christina does the best work . Please don't be fooled by negativecomments"
