Real Experiences

"A brilliant experience, from start to finish! I applied to adopt a cat, via the website, on the Friday afternoon. As soon as I had submitted my application, I received a confirmation email which clearly laid out the next steps. I was over the moon to get a phone call the following Monday, where I spoke with a lovely lady and was told all I needed to know about Mr. Kipling. There was plenty of time for a friendly back and forth, I asked questions, told them a bit about myself and was invited to meet him that Thursday. I then received another email confirming the meeting and the process. I was greeted in a friendly manner when I arrived, enjoyed a relaxed and unhurried introduction to Mr. Kipling and finalised the adoption then and there. Everyone I interacted with was lovely, and there is plenty of post-adoption support too. Kip is still settling in, but is already very friendly. If you're looking for a new furry friend to share your life with, I can thoroughly recommend Blue Cross Thirsk as a great place to start!"

"We adopted Mickey from Blue Cross Thirsk recently. The process was quick and painless, and all the people we interacted with either over email or at the centre were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. I feel as if there is support available if I need it but you can see that Mickey has already settled in very comfortably. We're so happy to be his new mummy and daddy 😊"

"I contacted the Blue Cross requesting a cat but they had already been rehomed. After a discussion around my family and home and what I was looking for, they provided my with other cats that would suit my situation. I ended up choosing 2 cats, who have fitted into my family well and we absolutely adore. That staff were very good and clearly care for the animals and where they are homed."

"We were very fortunate to be able to adopt these 3 beautiful sisters. The Blue Cross Rehoming Centre staff were absolutely amazing. They all went above and beyond to help us adopt the kittens. We wanted to say a massive thank you, and let you know the girls have settled in beautifully. Thank you all for your help and support. We would definitely recommend adopting from here ❤️"
