"Applied to give Arnie....now called Takota...(American Indian name meaning friend to everyone) a forever home after losing my beloved Husky to illness after 11 years....The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly giving good advice and information about Arnie and his past....was invited to go and meet him by appointment only to see what I thought.....after walking around the grounds and getting hands on with him it was obvious he was going to need some work but also he showed me he had so much love to give ....I decided to go ahead with the adoption and can honestly say he's turning into a wonderful companion.....absolutely no regrets....he's a work in progress and worth every ounce of effort because he gives so much back in return.....one week on and he has come on in leaps and bounds....he's learning quickly and making a terrific dog.....thank you to all the staff at Ashbourne Animal Welfare...The Arc....for helping me and letting the adoption go ahead....the picture's say it all....just look how settled he is...xxx"

"Wonderful caring people who run the Arc make any visit memorable. Today was an Open Day and the public visited the Cats and Dogs . We have 3 cats, one of which (Selina) was from the Arc and it was hard not to put our names down to take another kitten byt we soent some money on one of the many stalls so we fed a cat for a few days i hope. Can't wait for the next open day . Apologies for the glare on the pics, they were through glass."

The little dog who we chose was extremely shy around humans, but the trust she showed towards the young man handling her told me all I needed to know about them.
