About This Centre

National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) Essex was originally set up by Ann and Reg Sims in 1984 as Clacton Animal Aid. It was entrusted to the National Animal Welfare Trust in October 2011 following the Sims retirement after 25 dedicated years of service. Based in Little Clacton, we are a rescue and rehoming centre, finding loving new homes for homeless and unwanted dogs and cats.
