I have noticed since adopting our kittens that Mayhew try really hard to re-home their rescue animals as soon as possible to give them their forever home. "Mayhew were brilliant. We adopted a cat from Mayhew in March 2025, having been turned away by one very prominent animal rehoming centre, and another lesser known one as well. Of the three centres, Mayhew was the only one that carried out a 3 stage screening. We filled in a questionnaire and attended a telephone interview. At that point we were invited to go to the centre to meet our new family member. Finally, a team member and volunteer inspected our home to check arrangements and answer any questions we might have had. It was professional and caring from the outset. Matthew was very helpful and clear about what was expected throughout the process. And now, we are three!"
