"My partner and I really wanted to adopt two kittens to make our family bigger and Green Acres were absolutely brilliant to communicate with to get that sorted. I requested an adoption via the email and got a call back the same day to discuss the cats with one of their kind staff. All in all everything took about a week to arrange (home check and our visit to the foster included!) And everyone along the way was ever so helpful and kind. The site itself we didn't see much of but was lovely to see the various cats pottering around the car park."

"They had a lovely selection of animals here to pet, including ferrets, cats, chickens, horses, goats and even turkeys. Who knew they were so friendly? Unfortunately they also had a lady who very politely asked us to leave! This was apparently because we hadn't made an appointment. She didn't exactly kick us out, but with a very nice smile she told us we couldn't stay even though these creatures were bringing much joy to my autistic son. Shame really because I would have made a sizeable donation if it hadn't been for this. So make sure you call and book first if you want to go there!"

"What a lovely place this is! Lots of very happy looking animals out in the countryside and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We went to view one dog who turned out to be unsuitable but we weren't made to feel we'd wasted their time we were simply asked if we would like to look at any other dogs. We said yes please and Maisie the terrier was brought out. I knew she was the dog for us straight away, the adoption was then quick and easy, we took her for a short walk, filled in some forms and she was ours along with a big helping of food to keep her going. She was microchipped, neutered and vaccinated! She is now part of the family and by the way we had a telephone call a couple of days later to make sure everything was going well and will be keeping in touch which is great!"

"Wonderful experience with Greenacres. I have applied to adopt a dog many times from various rescue centres, some of whom I have donated to regularly. Typically, I have received no response. I applied to adopt a puppy from Greenacres, who was already taken, but I then saw their generic dog adoption form, which I completed. A couple of days later they got in touch and asked to do a home inspection. Following this, they invited the family over for a chat about what dog would suit us, and whether any of their current dogs would fit the bill? This was so refreshing, and such a contrast to certain other rescue centres. We met with Charlotte, and discussed a lot of dogs. Even when I suggested totally unsuitable dogs, she very diplomatically explained why they might not be a good, and was totally respectful and supportive throughout. It was actually very clear which dog would be our best fit, but at no point did we feel pushed in a particular direction. She was also very agreeable to us going away to think about it, so long as we promised to let her know our decision. We are so delighted with our new family member. There are challenges, as she was not house trained, but we felt very well prepared for them and can hardly believe how quickly she responds to training. I recommend Greenacres 100%, and particularly the way they really consider which dog will be best for you. Thanks again for our new best friend."

"So delighted with the new addition to our family. We lost our beloved Mali a few weeks ago after a short illness. We applied to Greenacres to adopt a young black cat. The process was smooth but thorough (as it should be) and after discussions about which cat would suit us best as a couple with Seren, a Siamese who has been with us for 10 years. We were matched with Amy, who has been with us now for almost a week. She has settled in really well and has a wonderful character, (feisty at times!) enjoying cuddles and has become really confident in her new environment. A real sweetheart. Thank you Greenacres"
