"I canât say enough good things about Manchester and Cheshire Dogsâ Home! The staff and volunteers are truly passionate, caring, and dedicated to giving every dog the best chance at a happy life. The facilities are clean and well-kept, and itâs clear the dogs are well looked after, loved, and treated with respect. The adoption process was smooth, informative, and never rushed. They really take the time to make sure both you and the dog are a good match. I adopted beautiful Gwen from Cheshire Dog Home and she's been in her forever home for 2 days and she has been an absolute STAR. Ruby my previous girl was from Manchester Dogs Home and she was amazing in every way. She sadly went over the Rainbow Bridge in Jan at the age of 15. When you rescue, you are changing 2 lifes for the better. The dogs and yours, itâs been two of the best decisions Iâve ever made.Whether youâre looking to adopt, volunteer, or donate, I highly recommend supporting this amazing charity. Theyâre doing incredible work for animals in need."

9 months ago"On Saturday morning, we found an ideal dog to replace our late Whippet. We called up at 9am to check if Cricket was available, as we were travelling over an hour to get there, we were told that Cricket was available and we could meet her between 1pm & 4pm. We arrived and were greeted by an incredibly rude receptionist who acted as though we were inconveniencing her by entering reception and asking to meet the dogs.We made our way to the kennel and found Cricket, to see a âreserved signâ . We asked a member of staff if she was actually reserved (as several kennels all had the same signs) and if we could take her for a little walk to meet her, they just grunted, said âI donât knowâ and then walked away. We were told that we were unable to get closer to the dogs as we werenât allowed to open the building doors as it would let the heat out. We went back to reception to ask the same question, she said fill an online application in, if we accept it and you pass a successful home visit then you can meet Cricket. I questioned, âwhat if after all the process, when you finally meet the dog she isnât the right fit for you?â She just argumentatively said âthatâs the way we do thingsâ. The lady on reception definitely needs some training in how to speak to potential customers. All of our other pets have been through rescues, and the process has always been positive. Cheshire dogs home have shown us why so many others choose to buy a puppy and not adopt a rescue. This morning, a day after the experience, Cricket has been removed from the website. We wasted a huge part of our day because of the incompetence of the team at Cheshire dog homes."
