"Impressive establishment with very friendly staff in a splendid and scenic countryside location. Toilets on site as is bookshop and cafe though the cafe was closed on this particular visit understandably given the workload of available staff and tbh that's not why you're here really though with very spacious parking facilities I imagine it can get busy."

"Firstly don't come for me. We love animals and donate to bleakholt all the time. However, after going and waiting outside in the freezing cold at the cat sanctuary, clearly interested in speaking to someone about adoption..it took around 20mins for someone to finally speak to us. After that they kindly invited us in to see a lovely kitten (we actually asked about older cats too) who was looking for a home. Granted we hadn't made an appointment and they very kindly accomondated us with a pre meet with this kitten. He was lovely, all seemed well. We gave our details and the lovely lady who sorted it out was great. She said we'll reserve him for a day, just call if you'd like to adopt the next day. We called all was told someone else has adopted him. Now, that's great he's got a home, absolutely, but I have 2 very upset children here now. I called back and was told we only had untill 11am to decided if we wanted him, when another older can was given a few days with its potential adopted parent? One rule for one and so on. I called and suggested they look at their policies and procedures for this kind of thing and to make it very clear to families as to what their expectations are. If it wasn't for the children I probably wouldn't be writing this. I hope this was just one mistake that won't happen again to anyone."

"Great little place where the people working there really care for the animals! I rescued my guinea pig (Snoopy) last week, communication was great before picking him up, and now my lone pig, Squid (after his mate sadly passed away, our beloved Jupiter) has a friend again! Shoutout to Pete who also gave us Snoopys bed, he still loves it in his new home 💖🫶🏼"

"Lovely little place, we always go to the fairs and they get better each time! Lots of animals both for rescue and just that live there. A really friendly place that really cares about the animals, every penny goes to looking after them."
