About This Centre
Birmingham Dogs Home can only survive through the generosity and support of the general public and benefactors from the local community. Without this we would be unable to carry on the vital work of rescuing and rehoming abandoned dogs.We rescue over 2,500 dogs every year across the West Midlands.

Real Experiences
"Once our old lad sadly passed away we decided to find another rescue to share our lives. We went to a few rescues, some small some huge - but none were even in the same ballpark as Birmingham Dogs home. We found Sheba at Wolverhampton and immediately fell in love with her. She had some medical issues which were all dealt with by the rescue while we fostered her. They literally cannot do enough to help, and everything is in support of the best interests of their dogs. Every single staff member, vetinary specialist and trainer have been incredibly supportive and helpful. I would urge anyone who's seeking a lifelong companion to drop in and have a look!"

I’ve seen her talk many times now and am always amazed by the facts and stats:1️⃣ Costs £4 million a year to run their centres.2️⃣ They care for 2,000 dogs every year.3️⃣ They don’t get any government funding. She also told us a heart wrenching story of some new arrivals. Six puppies were dumped in a bin bag in Aston. They were so young that their eyes hadn’t even opened.Fortunately, they were found and are now being hand reared. They have a long way to go, but are in the best possible place. As always, the dogs stole the show. 🐾We even got to meet J.Lo and Shakira for puppy cuddles. 🤗🐶Can’t wait to go back."

Emily and Claire were very knowledgeable and helped us make the right decision. We knew that we always have the support of the BDH which was of great comfort. Many thanks to you all."
