Real Experiences
"These wonderful people and the fabulous animals are in need of our help, as showcased by Russell Watson last week. Each and every animal needs a home, and in the meantime they are cared for so lovingly and expertly by the dedicated team there. I was quite heartbroken to leave without a new family member, but my lifestyle right now means that a pet wouldn’t get the attention and time it deserved. I shall be making a donation, and rallying everyone I know to offer their help too."

I called Animals in Distress, and Nick answered with calm and kindness. Charlie and Siobhan stepped in and took Maya in immediately so I could fly to my 5-year-old who was alone in a new country. What set them apart was their action. They didn’t just advise me the shelter coordinated directly with James Cargo Company to organise Maya’s safe transport so we could be reunited. They kept me informed, treated Maya like their own, and showed extraordinary care during a chaotic, time-critical situation.I am endlessly grateful to Siobhan and her team. Animals in Distress is everything a shelter should be: compassionate, professional, and truly animal-first. I will pay this kindness forward and recommend them to anyone who needs help when life goes sideways."

I rang the rspca straight away when my next door neighbour got him out of her property and took a photo of him, also rang the police because I don't want her getting away with it. An officer was meant to contact me from the rspca but never did, I even made a complaint on their website 2 days ago so decided to walk to animals in distress. Unfortunately they were full and couldn't take him which I did understand but as I was leaving with the little boy to take him home to either keep him myself or find him a home the lovely guy (didn't get his name) come out and said Emma would take him. I was so relieved as right now I couldn't really afford to look after another little boy who hadn't had his vaccinations, had fleas and was stained with urine as I really need to get my property sorted before November so that I can do a house swap to Warrington to get the mental health help I have seriously needed for a year and is going to cost quite abit of money to sort it so someone will take it. When I get my pip again in a few weeks though I'm going to buy kitten, cat, puppy and dog essentials from amazon and drop them off at animals in distress myself. I did donate puppy stuff a few weeks ago as I was meant to get a puppy before I got Odo but that didn't happen and I stayed in my neighbours car while he went to the side door and put the box down and knocked, my name and address was on that box so I hope they clocked on today. I love animals way more than humans and I love the guys at animals in distress so much and would absolutely love to volunteer but I will volunteer somewhere in Warrington when I move and mentally stable enough, definitely. Seriously guys carry on what you do, yous are amazing 🙂❤️"
