"Rehomed our family pet wrongfully. Before the neutering and chipping police pipe up and spout their opinions. - no he was not neutered or chipped. My mum is disabled and suffers with her mental health and still on her bad days drags herself out of bed to look after my nan and also my sister who is also in a bad way from her mental health.I am sick and tired of people justifying the injustice of this situation just because the cat wasnāt YET neutered or chipped, it doesnāt matter that he wasnāt missing in the first place but taken less that 30 second walk away from his home.Letās look at whatās really wrong here: a lady named Mel had put a post up about a visiting kitty on pilgrims approach Gainsborough on the 19th of October. At this point he was not missing from my mums house as he was still coming home. After bob hadnāt been home for a unusual amount of time to usual, my mum started looking around the cat sites to see if she could find any sign of him. When my mum saw Melanieās post about bob she immediately contacted Melanie Barker and Mel claimed she had not seen Bob or knew where he was since the post It turns out Mel actually did know where Bob was the whole time because she captured him on the 26th of October and handed him over to Lincoln cat care. Bob was then being advertised by a Lincoln based charity for a new home of which we had no idea about until the night of the 4th of December.Bob was advertised as missing before he was rehomed on the 18th November.Melanie Barker was made aware well before then the 8th of November to be precise , more than once that Bob was in fact not a stray and even though she knew exactly where he had been sent to, she decided to leave a family without their furbaby. We found out on the 4th of December about bobs rehoming by Lincoln Cat Care Charity who were wrongly informed by Feral Rescue Gainsborough( of which Melanie barker is tied to!) that Bob was abandoned/stray. Until this date we had no idea that Bob had been found. We contacted Feral and Lincoln cat care and at first weāre completely blanked about the situation. Lincoln cat care eventually replied however seemed to lack compassion and regret for what had happened and basically made my mum the bad person for not spending every waking minute of her day on social media looking through pages of missing cats whilst sheās caring for her mum, daughter and her other children whilst keeping a house together as well as herself.I have added screenshots of all the proof the best I can. This is very tiresome on our family and we just want our cat back home where he belongs. Where he has been since the moment he came out into the world from his mothers womb."

5 years ago"Super rude and abrupt when asking about rehoming my dead mother in laws cats. I was very clear that I couldnāt keep them due to the rules of my social housing and that I was not in a financial position to get them the veterinary care. They did offer to help with costs, but with having my own animals and children I do not have any money spare. They couldnāt point me in the direction of any other charities and were largely unhelpful. Would not recommend if youāre in an emotionally vulnerable position, they appear to be quite judgy and inconsiderate."
a year ago"We reached out to this charity as we are facing a heartbreaking decision to find our very unhappy cat a new home, after three years of work have failed to get him comfortable with our second dog. He was used to dogs for most of his life, so this was out of character and has been difficult for us to figure out, despite throwing money at trainers and housing solutions. Instead of offering good advice or a more empathetic ear, they suggested we get rid of the second dog."

They then proceeded to not help us get in contact with the vet to get her remains back (they didn't even give us a contact number). They said its the vets responsibility and are now ignoring us. They haven't shown ANY remorse or sympathy. To make matters worse, this is the SECOND time they have essentially stolen one of our cats from their own home. They took my cat Stripes 2 years ago. Stripes made it home after a fair amount of work put in by my family but today I had to locate the vet, call them and bring my furry family member home in a cardboard coffin. If they'd just seen she was wearing a collar and left her alone then Splat would still be with us This is DEFINITELY NOT the first time this has happened either. Multiple people have come forward to say their pets have been taken and rehomed. There isn't much care in this Cat Care Charity, I'm afraid. I am absolutely disgusted with the entire situation"
