"Blue Cross Hertfordshire have been absolutely great in the process of adopting our Lily. The pick up process was smooth and the information they provide is very useful. You can tell our kitten had been cared for wonderfully while she was there. She is an absolute bundle of joy and a very happy confident kitty."

"The team at Blue Cross couldn’t have been more helpful. The whole process was smooth from application for our lovely rescue cat Blue, to picking her up.She was clearly so looked over by the team and the foster family, and we owe it to them that we have such a lovely, affectionate, and healthy edition to our family.I would encourage those looking for a new pet to give adoption a chance, because teams like this really make a positive difference!Thank you Blue Cross Herts! Fab work."

"āāļøāļøāļøāļø If I could give more than 5 stars, I truly would.Blue Cross Hertfordshire Rehoming Centre deserves every star in the sky. Five stars doesn’t come close to reflecting the compassion, professionalism, and genuine love that flows through this place. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re met with a warm, friendly atmosphere that instantly makes you feel welcome. There’s no coldness or rush, just kindness, care, and a team who treat every visitor, adopter, volunteer, and foster carer with real empathy and respect. It’s rare to find a place with such consistently positive energy, but Blue Cross Hertfordshire manages it so naturally. The staff here are absolutely incredible. Every single person I’ve met has been friendly, warm, and genuinely caring. They always take the time to answer questions, check in, and make sure you feel fully supported. Their passion for animals is obvious, from the way they talk about each individual animal to the care they provide. On 17/11/25, I adopted a robo hamster named Craig, and the experience was flawless. It was immediately clear how well he had been cared for. He came home healthy, confident, and curious. all signs that he’d received gentle handling, proper enrichment, and plenty of attention. The team understood his personality perfectly and gave me helpful information to ensure he settled in smoothly. The whole rehoming process was smooth, organised, and completely stress free. I was kept updated at every stage, and the communication was always kind, clear, and reassuring. I never felt confused or unsure for a moment. Everything was explained with such care, and I felt supported throughout. There honestly isn’t a single thing I would change. The centre is run with such thoughtfulness and attention to detail, and it shows in the calm, clean, welcoming environment they’ve created. Every decision they make very much prioritises the animals wellbeing, showing a deep routed knowledge on animal welfare, from the smalls to cats and dogs.I’m also a volunteer at Blue Cross Hertfordshire, and being part of the team has been one of the most positive experiences. Volunteering here doesn’t feel like working, it feels like joining a supportive and passionate community. The staff treat volunteers with so much kindness and appreciation, that you always feel included, valued, and uplifted every time you walk in.In addition to volunteering, I’m also a foster carer, and I honestly can’t express how much fostering has given me emotionally. The amount I get back through fostering is beyond words. Watching animals grow in confidence and happiness is unbelievably rewarding. The support from the centre is outstanding and they’re always there with guidance, encouragement, and care. Being part of such a strong and loving foster network is truly a privilege.Being involved with Blue Cross Hertfordshire as an adopter, volunteer, and foster carer, has been a gift. This centre has changed my life in the best possible ways, and I’ve seen firsthand the impact it has on both animals and people. The dedication and empathy of the staff never waver, and their kindness creates an environment unlike any other.I truly couldn’t recommend Blue Cross Hertfordshire Rehoming Centre more highly"

"Very impressed with Blue Cross. They provided us with excellent information on the lovely little stray we took in. She had clearly been very well looked after. We were able to look round the cattery where she was kept, and it was lovely. The premises were clean, orderly and spacious. They seem attentive, respectful and caring. Everything you’d want really."
