Real Experiences
"After having a difficult experience with our previous rescue dog, Louise and the team have been so supportive, and fostering was the perfect way to rebuild our confidence in looking after a dog. We have now adopted our wonderful dog and still have the knowledge of guidance and support from Yappy if we should need it."

The foster parent had done wonders for her at bringing her out of her shell and we met a few times. Louise was brilliant with making sure Chloe wasn't put in a home that didn't meet her needs and make sure the dogs are the priority not the humans and what they want. Dogs are forever and should be given homes that meet their needs and fortunately we were lucky enough that Chloe joined our home and has been blooming and growing more confident each day. I still follow the work this wonderful rescue does for abandoned dogs, or those who's owners can't afford surgery. They work tirelessly to ensure the dogs in their care get the best chance at life and try to offer that to as many dogs as they can. If they are unable to take in dogs they try and find a different suitable rescue. I will always support yappy and believe whole heartedly in their work and ethos"

We applied for several dogs from them over a few weeks and somehow, weāve got the best boy ever! The application process, our home check, meeting our future dog with his foster family and him being delivered to us - all tasks carried out by amazing volunteers - have been outstanding. And we have lots of invaluable, ongoing support as he settles in. You are the most awesome group of humans, always with the dogsā best interests at heart. Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. We feel like weāve won the dog lottery and look forward to many happy years with our gorgeous boy xx"

There was a very thorough home check following our application, completed by a friendly and knowledgeable woman who really put our minds at rest with questions we had as well as asking the questions she needed to.Our dog was transported to us and the person stayed for a little while to make sure she was settled, offered some first night advice and contact with her mum, who was a long term foster carer for the charity, for any longer term needs. We were provided with excellent follow up support by Louise, both on Facebook but also via vet visits for a check up, vaccinations, and initial worming and flea treatmentAnd thereās a private group for adopters to support each other, which is a brilliant way to encourage, reassure and support each other, and share our doggy experiences."
