"It is obvious how much the people here care about the animals they look after. This place isn't always open to the public. You must be approved for adoption before making an appointment to collect your animal. It was a fantastic drive there through beautiful scenery, a real magical mystery tour, but well worth it when I met my beautiful Koda. Before they brought him out to meet me, the staff showed me the kittens and their mothers, and you could see they were well looked after. I was given enough time to meet my new cat, and when I did leave, I was given a little care package to take with me. The follow-up was great, I received a message from Jan the day after. She set my initial house check with Kane when I first expressed interest in adopting a cat. Today I was offered encouragement and guidance, and it was clear to me that they would be there to back me up should I need it. As you can see from my photos, they made sure that my Koda was happy and healthy when I adopted him. Please support these wonderful people. They are doing an incredible job.Eight months later... Due to a pre-existing condition, that I knew about when I adopted Koda, I lost him early to a secondary infection. This was not the end of my Farplace journey however. Upon hearing my devasting news, they sent me the most beautiful condolence card and one month later the United me with two more beautiful souls to love. My beautiful big ginger boy Eddie and my little princess star. Jan offered me support with any future vet bills, an out if two cats got too much for me and a chance to wave the suggested adoption donation because they were happier to see the furbabies find another forever home. Fortunately I was able to donate anyway. The dedication the people show to the animals in their care is marvellous. I now have the joy of my providing my precious loves with a secure place to live."

"This place is an absolute scam, it makes millions per year from its charity shops across the UK and if you visit the actual animal sanctuary you'll find it doesn't have a fit for purpose sanctuary, infact it has no animals. The owner has a hobby of collecting games of all types and has a second home full of these games but yet he has put the advert of asking for donations for the Far Place charity on the side of a van via donation of your old games!! That very suspicious. Where is the money going? Because it's certainly not going to any animal welfare. Please visit this place so you can see how bad this actual is."

"I was on a walk near to where we have a caravan at heatherview Park, and I seen a small hedgehog out on the path,he had fly strike and was dehydrated.Im from hartlepool and help the hedgehog Preservation Society in my area so knew this guy needed help,I found farplace to be the nearest rescue centre,I called the number online and spoke to Jan who told me to bring him straight in,it took me about 20 minutes to get there high up on the hills. The ladies were lovely and took the hog straight in. Unfortunately the little guy didn't make it,he was taken straight to the vets but was just too poorly so had to be pts,but we tried and now he is out of pain.It was nice of Jan to give me a message to let me know.I think they all do a wonderful job, taking in,looking after, poorly, sick, abandoned animals."
