Real Experiences
"I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Rainbow Dog Rescue. My partner and I made the heartbreaking decision to rehome our dog, Ronnie, with them on 25 January 2025 due to our newborn sonās allergies. This was not a decision we took lightly, and we trusted the rescue to care for him responsibly and compassionately.Since surrendering Ronnie, we have repeatedly requested a simple update on his wellbeing. We did not ask for anything unreasonable ā just confirmation that he was safe and doing well. Unfortunately, we received no responses whatsoever. After sending a final polite message expressing our concerns, we were blocked. The complete lack of communication and transparency has been deeply upsetting during an already emotional situation. Anyone considering surrendering a pet here should be aware that, in our experience, there was no follow-up or basic courtesy in communication after handover.I also visited the associated charity shop and found there to be a noticeable stale cigarette smoke smell inside the premises. This was my personal experience at the time of visiting.I sincerely hope they improve both their communication with families and the overall customer experience going forward."

It's got so bad now all the clothes smell of it and its completely put me off purchasing anything. Its clear the volunteers are either smoking inside the shop or with a door so wide open its wofting into the main space theres a reason its was made illegal to smoke inside business now .... because your putting other people's health at risk."
