"We visited with grandchildren (10 & 8) plus our dog on a lead. It was great to see over 100 donkeys and a few ponies being cared for so well. There were plenty of volunteers who were willing to chat about the donkeys care and wellbeing. It's free so willing to support the work being done by sponsorship, eating at the cafe and making purchases in the shop. It would be good if they could get some more pocket money items in the shop."

"Lovely place to meet the very friendly donkeys. They have about 100 animals in their care and they are very happy to be rubbed There's also a wildlife garden and a good cafe Expect to stay about 1 to 3 hours depending on how much you like watching donkeys The place is free to visit (even parking) however please buy something or give a small donation if you can"

"Its a donkey sanctuary, and if youve ever been to one you'll know that they are arguably the happiest places on earth as you know that despite some of the donkeys having had a bad time previously, they are in the greatest place they could be. We've been to the one in Sidmouth which is beyond awesome, this one is affiliated to that and although smaller its no less life affirming. Dont believe me? Then go and stroke some donkeys, read their stories, buy a cream tea and some gifts. Free admission as well"

"Absolutely fabulous place to visit. Plenty of free parking, lovely little cafe and shop. It was great to see the donkeys being cared for so well. Plenty of opportunity to walk round and meet the donkeys, lots of benches to sit on and take in the views. Highly recommend."

"We absolutely love coming to visit the donkey sanctuary on all our visits to the Island! I have been visiting since I was a little girl and now get to bring my little boy along. We sponsor Myra and always love trying to find her amongst all the donkeys. Great way to spend a couple of hours even in the rain!"
