"Couldn’t speak more highly of this amazing and caring charity. They helped us out immensely when we some how ended up with a rescue dog in need of help. This tiny toy poodle was in desperate need of surgery on her Pelvis due to multiple fractures meaning a very expensive vet bill! Friends of the animals made a very generous contribution to this and we are so so thankful. Please donate to this amazing charity when can, they do an amazing job and thanks to them Fi is on the road to recover and doing very well."

"Contacted Friends of the Animals after receiving an estimate bill of Ā£4,800 for my boy Jangles to have emergency surgery to remove a blockage. Every step of the way we have received kind and compassionate members of the charity helping us, putting our minds at ease ensuring help is provided. The entire charity really is incredible and a blessing to those who need assistance.Unfortunately Jangles didn’t make it, but the help we were given took the edge off of our grief and we will be forever grateful."

"I was recently faced with the heartbreaking prospect of having to give up one of our black & white boys Bobby. After already spending so much on various consultations and treatments since January, it was then discovered via an eye specialist we were referred to by the vets, that Bobby needed Entropion eye surgery to both of his eyes. I was quoted £3-4,000 for the surgery, which I was advised would have to be carried out on the mainland. This was devastating to me and my 3 children as I knew I'd not be able to manage. What are people supposed to do in this situation? All I could think was he'd have to be adopted or worse... Just awful.I was advised to contact Friends of the Animals for advice. I was a bit reluctant at first as felt awful having to ask and also wondered about the standard of care where I'd been told he should really go to this specialist on the mainland. However, they were so informative, reassuring and helpful, with absolutely no judgement. Bobby was the main priority, and with their assistance Bobby was able to have the surgery done ASAP here on the island at a gorgeous veterinary practice for a fraction of the cost (less than £1,000!!!) which they covered and I was able to volunteer in their lovely new shop in return (which I really enjoyed). Such lovely people. Myself and my children will be forever grateful to them for their help with this. Really couldn't have done it without them.Bobby is also showing his gratitude in the cutest of ways. Adorable. His eyes are beautiful again and no longer in any pain or discomfort whatsoever.Bobby is fully recovered and thriving now. Back safe with his brother where he belongs. I still can't believe we were faced with having to split them up. Thank you so much Friends of the Animals. You are a lifeline on the island 🐾🐾"

"A Heartfelt Thank You to Friends of the AnimalsI want to say a huge thank you to Friends of the Animals for their incredible kindness and generosity in helping towards my dog Meela’s urgent eye operation. Unfortunately, our insurance wouldn’t cover any of the costs as the condition developed within the 14-day cooling-off period, leaving us in a really difficult position.Helen has been an absolute star — not only offering financial support, but also taking the time to research options, find additional information, and even look for more affordable ways to help Meela get the care she needs. Her compassion and dedication truly went above and beyond anything we could have expected.Me and my family will be forever grateful for the help and support we’ve received. Knowing there are such kind-hearted people out there, willing to help others in their time of need, means the world to us.From the bottom of our hearts — thank you to Helen and everyone at Friends of the Animals for giving Meela a chance to recover and continue bringing joy into our lives."

"I contacted friends of the animals after a consultation with our vet who diagnosed that our handsome cat Thomas has Entropion in both eyes. I was given an estimate for his surgery and immediately panicked about how I would raise the money for him to receive the treatment. He is 2 years old, was a rescue cat and already had a lot of scarring, I was informed by the vet if he wasn’t treated he risked loosing his sight. I spoke to such a lovely and compassionate lady at FOTA, she put me at ease and I need to express my utmost gratitude for their generous donation towards my boys surgery. You really are angels in disguise and i will be forever grateful to you."
