"A fantastic local rescue centre working to help save one of most loved native mamals who are under significant decline. The rescue is run by volunteers who give up their time to help these adorable little creatures I thank you for all your time and effort 🙏 The rescue has a face book account on which they have an amazon wishlist if you want to donate i think this is great way to donate small gifts the rescue really need. Keep up the great work you do 🙏🦔🦔"

If he was underweight, they would happily take him as he may not survive the Winter. The next day, our lovely neighbour, Derek, guided him down the footpath to our house in case he was run over. We then weighed him (that took three of us!) and he was very small so we put him into a large Naked Wine box with bedding, food and water until the next day when the Rescue Centre was open.Later that evening, another baby appeared at the feeding station, so he was also placed in a wine delivery box for the night (just as well I like my Naked Wine, isn't it?)I called the Rescue Centre the next morning and they were more than happy to take both of our babies... Hurray! When we arrived, the ladies had incubators switched on ready for our lads' arrival and the place was a hive of activity - it was like a busy A and E department. The boys were weighed, inspected and placed into the incubators. We were very impressed with the skill and efficiency, as well as the care given by the crew. The lads will receive care over the winter and will be released in the Spring. We were offered them back and would have loved to have taken them but it's just not safe enough so head had to rule heartThank you folks for all you do for our prickly friends - it's a better world because of people like you!Love from Alison and Bob xxxxxx"

We found an orphan who we named Stan, which they are now looking after until he's big enough to venture back into the real world. Open 365 days a year, they deserve our support."

Then last night I came home to him on the grass and birds trying to peck him! Took him straight in the house and tried him on water and dog food. He seems very weak and not moving very much. The ladies at the centre were absolutely fantastic! Given him Help immediately. They were so friendly and I could see how caring they were towards all the hedgehogs. I cannot thank them enough for what they do and I will definitely be making a donation. Thanks ladies. ☺️☺️X"
