About This Centre
National Animal Welfare Trust is one of the UK’s top animal welfare charities operating five rehoming centres across the south of England. NAWT's Bedfordshire Branch is based in Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire. Please check out our website for more information. Please note we are not a visitor attraction. If you are interested in adopting please have a look at our website and give us a call or pop down and see us during our opening hours. We'd love to chat to you further about the process and any animals you are interested in. We utilise foster homes and offer a 'home to home' adoption scheme therefore not all the animals we're rehoming are at the centre. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call us.

Real Experiences
"I have boarded my 2 dogs here on multiple occasions and would 1000% recommend. You couldn't ask for better kennels. Being a rescue their approach is so different to other kennels I have used. Here your dogs needs and welfare are at the heart of the personalised care they receive. Your pets will be played with, walked and build a really strong relationship with the staff. One of my dogs requires medication and this is no issue. When they are being boarded they get so excited when they realise where we are and happily trot off with the staff , which is amazing as one of mine can be clingy. For me the most important thing is that my dogs never come home stressed and just slot back into their normal routines. I genuinely consider them extended family now as they have gone above and beyond to help my dogs and I. Thank you x"

I wish you all the very best and please be aware of how much gratitude we need to show you. BIG THANK YOU and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Will see you soon, FOR SURE. Xxxx."

They stayed for 3 night, they were small enough to be able to kennel together which suited them due to them always being together at home. The staff here were excellent, very friendly and attentive with the dogs when we arrived which made us feel comfortable leaving them and put them at ease being with new people. We returned and collected 2 very happy dogs with no issues and will definitely use them in future."

Took her home 2 weeks later and she is the sweetest cat. The rescue was so tidy and clean, and the staff were very good. Thank you! She’s settled in so well, and is a great cat :)"
a year ago"Terrible charity. Rehomed our dog through NAWT. Their lack of communication and empathy on all sides (ours and the new family) ultimately led to our dog being put down. I would not recommend this charity. They do not have the animals welfare in mind and care only about their reputation"
